This would be the perfect smoothie to add to your weekly line-up for breakfast or post-workout snacks. Pineapple and banana add citrusy sweetness, coconut milk lends to a creamy base, lime zest and juice offer plenty of bright citrus notes, and cucumber adds a subtle earthy flavor with a slew of health benefits (see above!).

If your plan is to eat exactly the same way you’re eating, and the only change would be adding one smoothie to your daily calorie intake, then drinking an extra smoothie a day will cause you to eventually gain weight.
Reserve 2 tablespoons of pineapple, diced, for a garnish. Ideally, start with frozen banana and frozen pineapple chunks. You can use fresh banana or pineapple, but the texture won’t be quite as creamy as if frozen.
This smoothie recipe easily serves 3 – 4 people, but you can either halve the recipe or store leftovers in the fridge.
