If you haven’t tried avocado in your smoothies yet, DO IT! Avocado gives smoothies a creamy, velvety texture that feels ultra indulgent. This Blueberry Banana Avocado Smoothie and this Avocado Mint Smoothie , which tastes like a shamrock shake (!!), are two of my other favorite avocado smoothie recipes.

Now, the pineapple? Make sure you go for a ripe, sweet pineapple. Since there’s only half a banana in this smoothie, you’re relying on the pineapple to sweeten up the savoury effect of the kale and avocado.

This was sooooo good. My only suggestions to someone just starting on their “smoothie journey” is to peel the banana before freezing. It took forever to get the peel off frozen. I also added a dash of OJ and 1/4 cup of Pelligrino water and a couple ice cubes. It was such a refreshing drink, I am making another tomorrow. Thank you!!
